Carla began her career at Standard Publishing in Cincinnati, OH and now has over 30 years of experience in corporate publishing. Carla has edited and project managed hundreds of teacher and student guides, magazines, children’s books, ancillaries, and digital products. As an editor she often led workshops at writer’s conferences around the country. As a manager, she served on the editorial leadership team to execute corporate strategic goals, including creating and editing a company-wide employee newsletter and implementing department processes and procedures. She was a member of the Cincinnati Editor’s Association for several years and volunteered as a tutor and literary club sponsor at Mt. Healthy High School.
When she’s not working, you can find Carla enjoying an outdoor concert, trying a new restaurant, going to a wine-tasting event, or spending time with her three grandchildren.
Why Educational Publishing?
Carla always knew that she wanted a vocation that would help others. What better way to make an impact than by helping students learn, discover, think critically, and become self-dependent. One of her favorite quotes is by Mother Teresa: “We cannot all do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
