Biography

Karen grew up in a family of teachers, instilling in her a love of learning and a passion for equipping kids with the tools and motivation they need to succeed. She graduated from Berea College in Kentucky with a degree in English and has put it to good use ever since. With more than 25 years of experience in the educational publishing industry, Karen has written, edited, copyedited, and proofread a wide range of materials for a variety of audiences and authors over the years. Her favorite part about her work at Contentra is the people she works with and the opportunity to constantly be learning new things. She loves spending time with her family of seven, basically anything to do with the outdoors, and Mexican food. She’s in heaven when she can enjoy all three at once.
