Biography
Karen has led the development and production of high-quality K-12 math content for over 20 years. Previously a product owner, principal content developer, and mathematics writer for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, she has successfully led numerous multi-discipline teams producing complex math products in multiple mediums. She specializes in prototyping and developing user-friendly math solutions for students and teachers.
Fun Facts
Karen loves working remotely with her two dogs and four cats, who are all very opinionated about her math copy. She likes to read, enjoys music, and loves to see new places and try new things. She is a former professional bassoonist.
Why Educational Publishing?
Karen comes from a family of teachers, which includes a grandmother who taught in a one-room schoolhouse. She got into educational publishing because it was a great way to blend being an educator with her love of reading, writing, and technology.
